To the RBHS Community:
I am pleased to announce the RBHS Strategic Plan Speaker Series as a communications vehicle to help illustrate and analyze the key issues surrounding the implementation of specific RBHS strategic plan initiatives.
For the next five years, coinciding with the timeframe of our strategic plan, RBHS will co-sponsor the series with individual experts and/or organizations within the university community to help us all reach a deeper and more thorough understanding of the significance of the strong opportunities before us as well as the strategies that will help us clearly define and realize them.
Our initial event in this series will be Thursday, April 2, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. when the Rutgers Network of Affiliated Family Medicine Residences presents, "Who Needs a Waiting Room? Transforming Health Care through Practice Redesign," at the Child Health Institute, 89 French St., New Brunswick, RM. 3101.
Joining us for the first event in this series is Michael K. Magill, M.D., Hicken professor and chair of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Utah’s School of Medicine and executive medical director of the University of Utah’s Health Plans. Dr. Magill is experienced in developing, researching, and teaching the medical home model and is actively working in health care reform. To learn more, please see the attached poster.
For this series, we are planning to post podcasts of each event. This and subsequent presentations will be available for later viewing at http://rbhs-stratplan.rutgers.edu/implementation/rbhs-strategic-plan-speaker-series.
I encourage everyone to review the RBHS strategic plan and I look forward to seeing many of you for our kickoff event on April 2. Thank you.
