Dear RBHS Colleagues:
Thanks to the efforts of the RBHS Committee on Best Practices for the Recruitment and Retention of Minority Faculty, we are in the process of implementing key recommendations to foster diversity and inclusion throughout RBHS.
One major component of this strategy is to conduct a local and national search for a Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion (VCDI) for RBHS. It is my pleasure to announce the launch of this search and introduce the members of the search committee, listed below. Jorge Reina Schement, PhD, Vice Chancellor of the University Office of Diversity and Inclusion has graciously agreed to chair this committee.
For this new and important position, we are seeking the most highly qualified candidates with exceptional leadership skills, a track record of scholarly achievement, an understanding of healthcare delivery, and a strong commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the health professions and biomedical/health sciences.
