Rutgers University stands as one of America's largest, most comprehensive university-based centers for studying and improving human health and health care.
Through basic, clinical, population, and translational research—spanning the life sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences—we drive education, medical breakthroughs, and economic development, while improving lives at home and in the global community.
Many research activities within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) are coordinated by the individual schools. Much of the focused research is conducted at specific centers and institutes that work with RBHS and other schools, at Rutgers and beyond.
The RBHS Office of Research serves as a hub for the research enterprise responsible for facilitating the complex operations and initiatives across the schools, centers, and institutes. The office convenes the RBHS Council of Research Deans, led by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Research Training, and interfaces with the Rutgers Office of Research and Economic Development on cross-campus activities.
